I was just reading the baby food thread and it got me wondering about pureeing and processing foods. At the moment I own a mini-chopper (cheap-o brand) and a run of the mill blender.
Do you think these things would work well enough for getting lentils, for example, mushy enough for a baby?
I just did basic baby cereal for my first two. Occasionally I'd buy baby food, but usually I'd mash some fruit or veggie. But for my third, I'm a bit more educated thanks to welltellme.com and Jennifers awesome newsletters!

It would depend probably on how "mushy" you need it. For an older baby, it might be fine. Try a small batch and see what you come up with.

Thank you. I used the mini chopper on lentils for baby today. Didn't mush 'em well enough. She did'nt seem to like the flavor anyway. Bummer! One day maybe I can invest in a nice chopper/blender/food processor thingy! :)
